Lions and Tigers and Bears...oh my!

We had the best time yesterday on Cooper's first trip to Fort Worth! We were able to coordinate four couple's schedules and have our bestest friends join us for brunch at Joe T. Garcia's and then the ladies and Daddy headed to the Fort Worth Zoo with Mr. C. It was a hot one - but we had a blast. Cooper is totally into animals and noises right now, so it was awesome to see his expressions. We figured this would be the shortest zoo trip we will have for the rest of our lives because he can't ask questions yet!

Playdate with the boys!!!

Last week, C had his first big play date at our house with Callum and Trip! We had so much fun watching the little guys play with each other. They are all best buddies.

End of the "outside" time - Miss Kelly hosed everyone down!

Diaper babies!!!

A little sandbox time

Ready to cook or a lobster???

Quick post...we can't figure out whether C is ready to help Mommy in the kitchen or he thinks he is a lobster!

The helmet

Mommy is trying safety first and bought Cooper a helmet to wear when he rides his tricycle. He is NOT a fan! Hopefully, by the time he can pedal himself he'll figure it out.

Motherload Post - Wildflower Festival 09

Two weeks ago the whole gang headed over to The Wildflower Festival in Richardson. Cooper went last year, but probably does not remember it since he was only 3 months old! Needless to say, this year we took FULL advantage of the kid zone! Face painting (okay more like arm/hand painting), petting zoo, painting a pet rock, bean bag toss and most fun of all the jumping fountains! It was a blast - hence all the pictures!

You want me to touch this goat???

More goats, please!

Bean bag toss - he won a plastic ring for Mommy!

Mommy and C painting his pet rock - which we still have

Getting our arm painted with a fire baseball

the end result - you have to look close!

The start of the fountains - look how dry Daddy is!

Not so much anymore

Uh-oh...

I couldn't resist (Brent is going to murder me), but he likes playing my necklaces and bracelets right now. I just happened to snap this one last night where he actually put on the necklace, not to mention that he was naked, too! Too funny!

A Little Afternoon Snack...

After a long afternoon of swimming, who doesn't want an ice cream sandwich? I don't know if it was that he was naked, the monkey chair or the hat. I just couldn't help myself with some pics!

Mother's Day - Part Two

After brunch, we headed over to the Nana's for a little pool time. We had to test out our swim lessons! What a great way to spend the afternoon with the family!

Of course, there are two beers on the spa for Mommy and Daddy

Is this chicken??? (his new picnic basket)

the little fish! check out the hair!

Happy Mommy's Day - Part One

I had the best Mommy's day ever! First, my sweet boy slept to 8:30am - what a treat! Daddy and Cooper brought me my gifts and sweet, sweet cards. I got "Super Mom" pj's and a spa gift certificate to none other than the Cooper Spa! We headed over to brunch at Uncle Julio's with the whole family (minus Adam and Taylor) and enjoyed some yummy food and drinks. What a treat! I even convinced Brent to let him wear his smocked bubble suit since it was "my day!"

My sweet baby boy!
Oh how he loves his Daddy!

The family - with the silliest boy in the world - check out the face!

Our little Mexican!

C has become a great little eater - pretty much not a lot that he does not like. His all time favorite has to be Mexican food - chicken fajitas, queso, guac, quesadillas, tortillas - you name it. We just have not mastered eating beans without the mess!

Little outside fun with Daddy!

Our new favorite toy - the water hose!

A Little Reading Material!

Cooper's new favorite book to read is "My First Bible." Here he is for a diaper change learning about Moses!
